Having regrets? Add « at least » to « if only »

I’m sharing here an idea I found interesting, while reading the « Power of Regret » by Daniel Pink, is to add « at least » to moments where we have regrets and thinking « If only, I had done …. » is about adding « at least » in order to find a learning opportunity from that experience, and leverage it for the future.

It’s like looking at the 2 sides of a coin : « If only, I had done…, I would have …. But at least, I … »

For example: « If only I had asked my manager about getting this promotion, I wouldn’t missed that job… At least, I know now that I really need to speak to him about this soon ».

« If we know what we regret, we know what we truly value »
