I’m sharing here an idea I found interesting, while reading the “Power of Regret” by Daniel Pink, is to add “at least” to moments where we have regrets and thinking “If only, I had done ….” is about adding “at least” in order to find a learning opportunity from that experience, and leverage it for the future.
It’s like looking at the 2 sides of a coin : “If only, I had done…, I would have …. But at least, I …”
For example: “If only I had asked my manager about getting this promotion, I wouldn’t missed that job… At least, I know now that I really need to speak to him about this soon”.
“If we know what we regret, we know what we truly value”
Daniel H. Pink
